WHERE DID THE SUMMER GO?

My TO DO list was a mile long when I last posted...now its 2 miles long! The best laid plans are still waiting to be brought to fruition. It was hard to resist the draw of the sun and the sound of the waves. Now with the cooler weather there will be less temptation to just do my customers jobs and then run into the sun. Look out projects here I come! May you find peace in your dreams tonight!

MY HOROSCOPE-Says It all

BLUE JEAN DIAPER BAG

What a fun project!  The baby shower was last Saturday and the young lady that received the gift was over the top that it was constructed out of her grandad's levi's.  Everyone at the event was crying!

The bag was lined with flannel with pockets all the way around the inside, so it is competely washable.  I also made the matching diaper tote that is seen in the last photo.

 Just knowing that I had created a memory that will last for generations gave me a wonderful feeling of accomplishment.  One of the many reasons why I love what I do!

BERET

I had the opportunity to make this cute beret to go with a dance costume for a competion one of my customers daughter participated in.  It is always exciting to sew something different from my work doing alterations for Peckitt's Mens Wear here in Grand Bend.
Another customer gave me 3 pairs of blue jeans that were her father's, who passed away a year ago, and asked me to create a diaper bag for her niece that is what I am working on now.  Will post photo when it is finished.

WHERE DID JANUARY GO?

I am happy to report in my world the winter is going surprisingly fast. February is just around the corner. Which is the month I dedicate to getting things finished...taxes, projects and with it the anticipation of spring cleaning.  Honestly for me there is nothing better than deep cleaning the whole house, it brings such a good feeling!
